Bethany Behavioral Health provides mental health services to older adults (55 and over) facing life changes such as decreased physical and mental capabilities. The inability to live independently, or the loss of a lifetime companion, problems can be too severe for some older adults to manage on their own. For the families of these people, it can be a difficult time witnessing the reducing physical and mental capabilities.

We can help address the needs of older adults over the age of 55 who may be suffering from depression, anxiety or other serious mental health concerns. Our caring environment encourages patient engagement in treatment as part of the therapeutic process.

We are provide a safe environment and constant care to help those with limit physical or mental capabilities.  Adults over the age of 55 can find help at Bethany Behavioral through our adults mental health services, which is meant to help those suffering from serious mental health concerns. Bethany Behavioral Health wants each patient to feel comfortable in our facility. Our older adults mental health services offers this.

Some warning signs that could indicate an older adult needs help are:

  • Anxiety or agitation
  • Confusion or disorientation
  • Depression
  • Fear or paranoia
  • Fluctuations in weight
  • Hallucinations or delusions
  • Memory loss
  • Mood swings
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Social withdrawal
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Wandering

Older adults may experience these behaviors but in many cases, the cause is psycho-physiologic and may be treatable. Early diagnosis can help improve the chances of a successful treatment.

Our experienced team provides treatment that may include medication management and attention to medical issues for our older adults mental health patients. Our goal is to help relieve symptoms and improve the patient’s quality of life.

We also help coordinate options for treatment after discharge each older adult patient that we treat, including our Day Treatment Program.
